Primary School (5 to 11)
Deddington Primary School is situated in Earls Lane near the centre of the village (maps). It currently has 165 pupils. (Reception, 01869 338430). The school has a website. At present it has Christmas cards which are on sale.
For those preferring a Roman Catholic school, and families of other denominations, there is St John's Roman Catholic Primary School in Banbury (Head: Kevin O'Connor, 01295 263740), see website at www.st-johns-banbury.oxon.sch.uk.
Secondary Schools (ages 11 to 18+)
Deddington Primary School pupils can go to The Warriner (Comprehensive) School in nearby Bloxham (01295 720777). It is well-known for its 40 acre farm run by the pupils; there is a farm website at atschool.eduweb.co.uk/warrinerfarm. There is a school bus to and from Deddington.
Deddington Primary School pupils and pupils from St. John's R.C. School can go to Blessed George Napier School in Banbury (01295 264216).
If they wish to study beyond GCSE examinations, students can join Blessed George Napier School in Banbury, the sixth form of Banbury Comprehensive School (01295 251451) or North Oxfordshire College in Banbury (01295 252221, www.ocvc.ac.uk/).
Special Schools
Deddington is in the catchment area of the Frank Wise School in Banbury which specialises in children with severe learning difficulties. (Head: Kevin Griffiths, 01295 263520).
