End Cottage, The Stile
Earlier in the year Cherwell DC rejected a planning application to build a single-storey red brick bungalow with new access road on to Goose Green in a large open space used as garden behind houses in the triangle formed by The Stile, New Street and St Thomas Street. Objections were raised by Deddington PC and neighbours on the grounds that this is back land development in one of the green open spaces which form an important part at the centre of Deddington’s Conservation Area. The application went to appeal; the planning inspector rejected it, not on the grounds of back land development but on the grounds on inappropriate design and materials. Now a revised application has been made, this time for a two-storey dwelling faced with stone. The PC has again recommended refusal on the same grounds as before, and several neighbours in surrounding properties have also objected.

Comments on this proposal have to be with CDC by 23 June. If you wish to comment, please quote application no. 11/00747/F.
