The annual Deddington DOGS v Dorchester DOGS golf competition took place in May and yes -- it DID rain! It wouldn't be the summer of 2012 without a bit of rain.

Dorchester DOGS are the current holders of the Dogs Trophy and were going into this year's match as favourites.

Match results are as follows:

Deddington                               Dorchester                   Result

David Chatterton     v               Mike Rimmer                Match
Peter Blackburn                        Ben Kent-W                  Halved

David Darst             v              Richard Moore               Dorchester
Arthur Kennedy                       John Garrod                   Win

Sue Oddy                 v             Brenda Edwards              Match
Lyn Talbot                              Carol Moore                   Halved

Mike O'Brien            v            Nigel Oddy                       Deddington
Ron Colley                             Chris Vernon                    Win

Colin Baldwin           v            Phil Greenaway                Deddington
Daire Dowling                        John Edwards                   Win

John Stiff               v             John Mills                        Deddington
Phil Goodman                        Jim Levi                          Win

When the "dust" settled, Deddington DOGS were victorious 4-1.

So for the next 365 days the DOG TROPHY will take up residence in the Deddington Arms. When you have the opportunity, do pop into the
Deddy Arms and pay your respects to this magnificent work of art. Be warned -- the RSPCA are watching this place for potential cases
of dog abuse!

A BIG 'DOGS' thank you to Sue & Nigel Oddy for their support in making this event happen!
