DESCRIPTION:Jane Rogers is a distinguished novelist who has been longlisted for the Booker Prize and is a professor of creative writing\, perhaps best known for her novel Mr Wroe’s Virgins\, which she adapted for television. She will talk about her new short story collection\, Fire Ready\, in which several stories look at how people adapt to the rapidly changing conditions of the climate emergency\, both now and in the future. Copies will be available for sale and signing; refreshments available for a donation to library funds.
