Geoffrey Bowler at Tidworth Camp August 1911

Courtesy of Simon Batten, current editor of The Bloxhamist, who comments:
It shows Geoffrey at the OTC camp in Tidworth in 1911. Sadly, as well as Geoffrey, another four boys were severely wounded in the Great War and five more were killed - the four in the middle of the picture and the boy with the plate on his knees. Geoffrey is sitting to the right of the boy with his hands on his hips: this boy, Frank Riddle, was killed at Festubert in 1915 having been in the front line for less than 45 minutes.
