Hudson Street, Country Series, 1907

The building on the left was previously thatched. At a bonfire in the Market Place in 1900 to celebrate the capture of Pretoria in the Boer War, sparks caught the thatch and the building burned down. It was subsequently rebuilt and bears the name Pretoria House
