This is his Leave ration card showing the dates of his leave returning from which he died in a dockside accident. Marguerite recounts " My Dad (Frederick) went to his funeral and on the way back the train had to stop under a bridge all night because the Germans were bombing Coventry"
Marguerite's grandmother- Elizabeth Pinfold (mother of Percival Pinfold killed in action in 1917)- was listed as Edward's next of kin and so she received the Letter of Condolence from the King. See photo in gallery.
