Going well after some hiccups on the part of the grass-cutting contractor. The plastic netting and spikes are coming out and will be stored ready for next year. Wild Oxfordshire have commented that the wet weather this year has resulted in longer grass and fewer wildflowers which have appeared later than usual. Like last year, the scheme will be reviewed in the autumn. Please send any comments to the PC Clerk.

This month’s highlights include the induction of the new vicar Rev Nick Fielden, an appeal for bell ringers, a cautionary tale about passports and post-Brexit rules; a historical note about Goldsmiths in Boulderdyke House in Clifton during WWII; and a tribute to one of Deddington’s characters, Martin Ince, who died recently.

Neighbourhood Plan

Adopted by Cherwell District Council following its resounding adoption at the recent local referendum. We wait to see how it will impact future planning applications. An outline planning application for our favoured site for development – north of the Fire Station – will be discussed by CDC in July
