On our behalf the parish council manages an annual budget of approximately £111,000, covering everything from the Windmill Centre to grass mowing and street rubbish bins. The current 13 councillors put in a great deal of volunteer time both working behind the scenes on finance, advising on planning applications, dealing with traffic problems and managing recreational facilities and, when needed, providing hands-on help. By May there will again be two vacancies. The present councillors would warmly welcome candidates from all three villages – particularly if they are younger than 80 and especially if able bodied!
